The White House and much of the chattering class cooed on Friday when unemployment dropped to 9.1 percent and 117,000 jobs were reportedly created in July. But these numbers, upon closer inspection, show no progress on the jobs front.
Buried in the job stats was a number — 193,000 — that dwarfed all the rest. That is the number of workers who left the job market. If 193,000 left and only 117,000 jobs were added, we lost 76,000 jobs. Moreover, this is not an aberration.
America has spent $443 billion to this date on the war in Afghanistan. Subsequently, we’ve suffered 1,500 casualties during this time fighting the Al-Queda while promoting democracy. The U.S military is currently deployed in approximately 160 of the 195 countries on the globe. BIG government?
Bernie Sanders, a Senator from Vermont does something that is not done very often in Congress, if ever, and that is speak the truth. Sanders addresses the HUGE, INEXCUSABLE, UNFAIR, and UNREASONABLE wealth gap between the upper class, or net worth of 1 million, and the diminishing working class of America. Income inequality has been steadily increasing in America since 1970, with the highest paid 1% of Americans now holding 23.5% of the nations wealth. The big shot CEO’s on Wall Street are significant reasons as to why our economy hit bottom as hard as it did. These same crooked CEO’s were bailed out by our government, and are now making more than they were before they were caught embezzling other American’s trust funds, college tuition, life savings, etc. Instead of putting trust in the hard working class of America and reducing the current 9.1 % unemployment rate, these CEO’s have their work done overseas whereas their workers do not have labor rights and are willing to work in extreme conditions making .70 cents/hour for 18 hour shifts. I am an American man, and I do believe in globalization, yet only to a certain extent. This country was built on the fundamental principles of hard work, dedication, loyalty, and commitment paying off in the long-run. Here we are, with millions of Americans in need and more than willing to work in order to sustain a suitable lifestyle for their families, yet their jobs are being outsourced to China resulting in an uncertain future for uneducated American’s and their children. I do not find this fair or just to the smallest extent, and this is how I vent; knowing there’s only so much I can do at this time, thank you.
J. Cole unleashes his heart; desire; destiny; dreams; and planned future in the Return of Simba. Jermaine samples the disney classic ”Lion King” as an intro for this track and it simply describes Cole’s come-up with the guidance of Jay-Z to perfection. When listening to a Cole track, you’ll notice his beats have much more substance to them in comparison to many other rappers coming for the coveted spot of “best rapper alive.” Furthermore, J. Cole uses his intellectual side (graduating from St. John’s University Magna Cum Laude), along with his experiences of growing up in an under privileged black community in order to deliver music that many can relate to. COLE WORLD, enjoy.
Worldstar Hip-hop was described to me as the black mans youtube, and I’ll admit my guilty pleasure of checking the site at least once a day. A wide array of video types with many different subjects are posted daily. For example, I’ve posted a video of 2 Somalians and 2 Irishmen fighting in a Burger King. As to why this unnecessary event took place is not understood within the video, however it still serves as a perfect paradigm of young males and alcohol not ending very well, enjoy.
